Sell catches and claim quest rewards to earn money. Every scratch-ticket type has a negative expected return. The $25 ticket returns the largest share of its price on average: 97.00%, with an expected loss of $0.75.
Scratch-off expected returns
Each ticket draws 5 winning numbers from 50 and has 20 distinct scratch spots. Matching spots pay their own prizes. The first prize-tier step has a 70% chance to advance; each later step multiplies that chance by 0.75. The model below follows those draws without rounding intermediate values.

The metal detector digs sideways
The Metal Detector uncovers sellable loot and cosmetic fragments. The Dock Shop lists the fragments and cash required for each cosmetic offer.
Claim quest rewards
Authored quests reward money and XP, with specific-fish quests also granting items or cosmetics. Specific-fish chains end after their final step; general catch goals increase before reaching a repeating final step. The quest pages show each step’s catch requirement and payout. Extra catches carry over when you claim a step.
Lottery tickets on your rod
Rod Luck above zero adds a 15% chance of bonus Coin Bags whose quality equals your Luck stat: luck 5 means Alpha coin bags. The Lucky Hook pays 1–10% of the catch’s value in cash, and Catcher's Cola adds its gold-per-catch kick for the duration of a drink. Junk (4.9% per bite in dry, unlocked water without Magnet Hook) sells to the Bait Shop too, just barely.
